Welcome to Readings by Rebecca

Rebecca

Hello all folk, short and tall, and a heartfelt welcome to you!

You’ve come to Shortfolk’s webpage for tarot readings.

My name is Rebecca Jolli, and I’ve been doing tarot readings for about 5 years now. I was interested in the tarot for much longer, but the right intersection of true readiness and a gifted deck came along at that time, and I dove in with relish. I had, of course, heard many rumors about tarot, and the controversy was truthfully part of the basis for my interest, but I have come to see that there is no inherent danger in either the cards themselves or in the information they convey.

Tarot is merely a tool.

It’s a mirror that we can hold up to ourselves in order to see more clearly, or maybe just with a different perspective. Tarot was originally developed with a set of universal human symbols, symbols representing stages of life through which we all pass, and emotions that are easy to recognize as singularly of the human experience. Tarot may seem magical or mystical, and its practitioners in past times have been both revered and persecuted, but with the modern advent of quantum physics, a deeper understanding of metaphysics is starting to emerge. More and more people are becoming aware that we are energy beings, and that everything around us is also just different forms of energy. Tarot provides us a way to gain a different perspective on our lives by seeing that energy reflected in cards, and directed by our intentions.

As with all sources of information in our lives, an attitude of open-minded skepticism is most useful. If the information shown by your tarot reading is useful to you, then by all means, use it to improve your life or guide your decisions. If you don’t find it to be useful, then let it go and find something else.

I am accepting appointments for tarot readings at this time, but don’t be surprised if a little bit of face reading or Chinese astrology find their ways into my readings as well, since I am long accustomed to finding truths in several paradigms. Plan on at least an hour for your tarot reading, but a first-time reading can often take significantly more time, especially if you, like me, tend towards chatty. I can do readings in person or online, and a session costs $50. For those who prefer non-traditional payment options, I am willing to discuss trades of labor or goods.

You can reach me to make an appointment or talk about questions or concerns at readings@shortfolk.com.

I welcome the opportunity to contribute to your growth and well-being.
